Seamless pipe is supplied to ASTM A106 Grade B, API 5L PSL1/PSL2 (Grade B through X70), ASTM A192/A210 boiler tubes, ASTM A335 alloy grades (P5, P9, P11, P22, P91), EN 10305-1 precision tubes and GOST 8732/8734. For the Russian market the standard references are GOST 8732 for hot-rolled seamless pipe and GOST 8734 for cold-drawn, with steel grades 10, 20 and 45 corresponding to the most common service conditions. Manufacturing Process

Seamless pipe is produced by our partner mills using the hot-rolled seamless process: a solid round billet is heated to forging temperature, pierced by a mandrel mill to form a hollow shell, and then elongated and rolled to the required diameter and wall thickness on a plug or stretch-reducing mill. The pipe is then heat-treated (normalized, or quenched and tempered for alloy grades), straightened, cut to length and subjected to full dimensional and mechanical testing. Because there is no weld seam, seamless pipe offers uniform strength in all directions and is the standard choice for high-pressure, high-temperature and critical applications.
