Blue Color PPGI Coil – Specifications

Grades, Standards and Color Systems

PPGI coil is supplied to ASTM A755, EN 10169 and GB/T 12754, with substrate to EN 10346. For the Russian market the reference is GOST 52146 for pre-painted sheet, and we prepare certificates cross-referencing the international standard. Coating systems: PE (15-25 um) for economical general use, SMP (20-25 um) for industrial roofs, HDP (20-25 um) for a balance of cost and durability, and PVDF (25-27 um, Kynar 500) for coastal and high-corrosion environments with 20+ year color retention. All RAL colors are available, plus wood-grain, stone and metallic finishes. Two-side coating (reverse coated) is standard for sandwich panels, and the back coat can be specified in matching or contrasting color. Film thickness, gloss and color are verified on every coil, and sample panels are available for approval before production.

Manufacturing Process

PPGI (pre-painted galvanized iron) coil is produced on a continuous coil-coating line: galvanized substrate is unwound, cleaned, and passed through chemical pre-treatment (chromate or chrome-free), a primer coat, a top coat and optional back coat, with each layer cured in high-temperature ovens. The coating line at the Tianjin plant processes widths from 600 to 1,250 mm and thicknesses from 0.15 to 1.5 mm, with coating systems of polyester (PE), silicon-modified polyester (SMP), PVDF (Kynar 500) and high-durability polyester (HDP). Color matching is performed against RAL and Pantone references, and the finished coil is tested for film thickness, adhesion, hardness, impact resistance and color consistency. The substrate is DX51D+Z or DX52D+Z galvanized coil with Z120-Z180 coating, produced on our own line, which gives full control over the base quality that determines the service life of the painted product.
